New Jersey’s federally designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilitiesand is part of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Pediatric Medical School, Department of Pediatrics. Since its inception in 1983, The Center has emphasized a community based, lifespan approach to meeting the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Boggs Center provides community and student training and technical assistance, conducts research, and disseminates information and educational materials. Activities of The Boggs Center are guided by our Consumer Advisory Council, and partnerships with people with disabilities, families, state and community agencies, and policy makers. â€‹

The Statewide Parent Advocacy Network (SPAN) is an independent 501(c)3 organization committed to empowering families as advocates and partners in improving education, health, and mental health outcomes for infants, toddlers, children and youth.  SPAN is a "first stop" for New Jersey families.  SPAN is New Jersey's  Parent Training and Information CenterFamily to Family Health Information CenterFamily Voices State Affiliate OrganizationParent to Parent USA affiliate; and a chapter of theFederation of Families for Children's Mental Health.

The Supportive Housing Association of New Jersey (SHA) is a statewide, nonprofit organization, founded in 1998, whose mission is to promote and maintain a strong supportive housing industry in New Jersey serving people with special needs.

Progressive Center for Independent Living has been empowering the lives of people living with disabilities since 1996. We offer referral and information services, emergency preparedness training, transition services for students, community opportunities, and independent life skills training.

Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund Program, any illness can be "catastrophic" based on uncovered eligible medical expenses and the family's income in a prior 12-month time period.

 

A catastrophic illness is any illness or condition, acute or chronic, for which expenses are incurred that are not fully covered by insurance, state, federal programs, or other sources and exceed the program's eligibility threshold.

 

There are no specific exclusions by diagnosis.
